Mother Goose Farms is located at the 2000 foot elevation on the slopes of Mauna Loa in South Kona, Hawaii. Our farm was started 10 years ago, and uses white Chinese Geese to control the weeds on the entire farm, thus the name. High on the slopes of Mauna Loa in South Kona our coffee trees thrive in  rich volcanic soil. With our geese tending weeds, we cultivate our farm and harvest our coffee from  early fall through spring. Every step in the growing and processing of our coffee is closely monitored, allowing us to offer a quality cup of coffee every time, and remain dedicated to growing our coffee with minimal impact to the environment.  Hand picking Kona insures only the ripe coffee beans are used, creating one of the richest coffees to be found any where in the world. After hand picking we roast our beans to a Dark Vienna roast. The roasting of coffee beans takes years of experience and tender loving care. Whole Kona coffee beans are stored in an air tight container ensuring the freshness of the Coffee Bean. We sell only 100% Organic Kona coffee. Using grazing instead of herbicides isn't new.... we have rediscovered tried and true methods to meet today's challenges of good land stewardship. Our geese not only control our weeds (they love the clover!), they also fertilize the soil with their droppings.
